This fall, the Knoxville chapter of Finance Executives International (FEI) will select one Haslam College undergraduate to serve as the FEI Intern for the 2025–2026 academic year. Students of all majors are welcome to apply, though finance and accounting majors are strongly encouraged.
Who is in FEI?
FEI is made up of senior-level CFOs and Controllers from leading companies including SageView Advisory Group, Jewelry Television, Radio Systems Corp., Kimberly-Clark Corp., Alcoa, Bush Brothers & Co., The Trust Company, Rather & Kittrell, Regions Bank, Truist Bank, Clayton Bank & Trust, Ruby Tuesday, Regal Entertainment, Mastercraft Boat Co., Bank of America, and other top local finance, accounting, and investment firms.
How to Apply
Submit your resume and a brief introduction (a short cover letter explaining who you are and why you’d make a great intern) to Dr. Laura Lenn at [email protected] by Friday, August 29. Applications will be reviewed by the FEI Board of Directors, who will make the final selection based on academic achievement.
Intern Responsibilities
FEI Interns assist with monthly dinner events, greeting members, introducing speakers, and networking with senior-level finance professionals.
Meeting Schedule
Events are held on Tuesday evenings at Bridgewater Place (205 Bridgewater Road, Knoxville, TN 37923). Interns must arrive by 3:30 PM, and events conclude around 6:00 PM. Dinner is provided. Attendance is required for both Fall and Spring semesters (do not apply if you plan to study abroad). Note the time it takes to travel from campus to the meeting site.
